Although Phuket is undoubtedly one of the most famous beach destinations in Thailand, a lot of travellers use Phuket as a “base location” to travel to a few famous islands nearby.  Among those islands such as Phi Phi and Similan islands, one of my favourite, […]

BAAN PHU PRANA PRIVATE BOUTIQUE VILLA, PHUKET, THAILAND

We found ourselves once again in Phuket, but this time we were looking for a special and somewhat less well-known place to stay. We got a little fed up with popular luxury hotels where dress-to-impress travellers check-in to take photos of them in the “famous” […]

A QUICK STAY AT CAPE PANWA HOTEL, PHUKET, THAILAND | โรงแรมเคป พันวา ภูเก็ต

BONDING WITH THE MOKEN SEA GYPSIES | มาเล่นมาชิวกับชาวมอแกนกันดีกว่า!

After a few days of adjusting-ourselves-to-primitive-island-life, it was time to properly bond with the lovely Moken Sea Gypsies.  We came up with games, taught them to sing, and simply hang out with them, trying to learn as much as possible about them and their way […]

FIRST GLANCE OF NORTH & SOUTH SURIN ISLANDS | THAILAND

The sound of the calm ocean woke me up as a warm, gentle breeze with a hint of salt hit the tip of my nose.  With my eyes still closed, I was reminded that I had just spent my first night on an island. (more…)

Last year I had a spontaneous trip to the Surin Island National Park in the South of Thailand, and this trip has and will surely remain my Top 10 favourite trips of all time. Accompanied by my childhood friend and her freediving instructor, I hopped […]
