It was the first time in almost 10 years I visited Ko Samui, and so I wanted to make sure I had a fantastic experience there. Having heard of Tongsai Bay Resort’s great reputation for decades, I decided to make it my home for a few days.
เป็นครั้งแรกในเกือบ 10 ปีที่บีมาเที่ยวเกาะสมุย คราวก่อนมาแบบแนวลุย ๆ ประหยัด ๆ หน่อย แต่มาครั้งนี้ตั้งใจมาพักผ่อนและให้รางวัลกับตัวเองหลักจากที่ทำงานหัวปั่นมามาก จริง ๆ บีได้ยินถึงชื่อเสียงของ ท้องทราย เบย์ รีสอร์ทมานานมากแล้ว คราวนี้เลยถือโอกาสเข้ามาพักซะเลย
Flight between Bangkok and Ko Samui normally takes only approximately 1 hour. Ko Samui airport was built by Bangkok Airways, so there are better flight options by the airline itself. I normally fly domestic with Bangkok Airways anyway as I love their boutique lounges at Suvarnabhumi Airport!
บีนั่งเครื่องบินจากสนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ แค่ชั่วโมงกว่า ๆ ก็ถึงที่เกาะสมุยแล้วค่ะ สนามบินที่เกาะสมุยสร้างขึ้นโดยสายการบิน Bangkok Airways นะคะ เที่ยวบินมาที่เกาะสมุยของ Bangkok Airways จึงมีเยอะหน่อย แต่จริง ๆ ปกติบีชอบบินสายการบินนี้อยู่แล้ว เพราะบริการดีมาก ราคารวมน้ำหนักแล้ว อาหารอร่อย และที่สำคัญมีห้องรับรอบสุดพรีเมี่ยมที่สนามบินให้เข้าไปนั่งรอ นั่งทำงาน นั่งรับประทานอาหารและของของว่างอย่างไม่อั้นอีกด้วยค่ะ
We were picked up from the airport by the hotel’s shuttle van and arrived only 10-15 minutes after. The first thing we noticed as soon as we walked into the lobby was this incredibly eye-catching wall decoration–isn’t it stunning?!
พอถึงสนามบินปุ๊บ รถตู้ของโรงแรมก็มารอรับอยู่แล้ว อีกไม่ถึง 15 นาทีก็ถึงโรงแรมค่ะ พอเดินเข้าล๊อบบี้ปุ๊บ สิ่งที่สะดุดตาปีมาก ๆ ก็คือ art piece ชิ้นนี้ สวยจริง ๆ เข้าแนวบีเลยค่ะ

After having checked-in, we were taken to our room in a golf-cart (plus a bit of walking). The resort covers 28 and a half acres of lush green natural landscape and is home to over 66 species of birds!
จากนั้นทางโรงแรมก็พาขึ้นรถก๊อล์ฟขึ้นห้องค่ะ ขับผ่านความเขียวขจีภายในรีสอร์ทแล้วเดินต่ออีกนิดเดียว รีสอร์ทนี้มีพื้นที่สีเขียวเยอะมาก ๆ ค่ะและสามารถดูนกได้นกกว่า 66 สายพันธุ์ด้วย
The “room” we got was rather special. It was a 189 sq.m. villa with a spacious open-air terrace featuring an outdoor jacuzzi as well as a good-sized private pool overlooking the Ocean.
ห้องที่บีอยู่คือห้อง Seafront Pool Villa นะคะ ห้องใหญ่มาาาาากกกก และสวยมาาาาากกกก พื้นที่ 189 ตร.ม. มีสระส่วนตัวพร้อมวิวทะเลจัง ๆ ด้วยค่ะ

มาดูข้างในห้องกันดีกว่าค่ะ (มี Magazine ฟ้าไทย โดย Bangkok Airways ด้วยสิ)
We were fascinated not only by the size of our villa, but also by the beautiful decor. The resort has a strict green policy do not use any plastic, foam or non-degradable products. All their furnitures and decoration are therefore made from wood or other natural materials.
บีทึ่งมากกับทั้งขนาดของห้องวิลล่า และการตกแต่งห้องที่สวยมีสไตล์มาก ๆ ทางรีสอร์ทมีนโยบาย Green Policy นะคะ คือจะไม่ใช้ผลิตพัณฑ์อะไรที่ทำจากโฟมหรือพลาสติกเลย ทุกอย่างจะต้องย่อยสลายได้โดยธรรมชาติ เฟอร์นิเจอร์ทุกอย่างก็ทำจากไม้ เครื่องสาน และวัตถุจากธรรมชาติทั้งนั้นค่ะ
วิลล่าของบี อยู่บนเนินเขา เลยได้มองเห็นวิวของอ่าวท้องทรายอย่างชัดตลอดเวลาค่ะ
Our villa was a little high up on the hillside, so we could breath in the view of Tongsai Bay straight from our terrace. 
และสระที่เห็นด้านหลังบีในรูป คือสระ Half-Moon Pool ซึ่งเป็น Adult-only คือไม่ให้เด็กลงไปเล่นซนได้นะคะ เหมาะสำหรับผู้ใหญ่หรือคู่รักที่ต้องการพักผ่อนอย่างเงียบสงบค่ะ
And things didn’t get less pretty once the sun has gone down.
พอเริ่มเย็นแล้ว ยิ่งสวยขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ อีกค่ะ
During our stay, there was quite a bit of rain as November-December is Monsoon sea in the Gulf of Thailand. We didn’t get any “golden sky with a pink glow” sunset, but this should be how it is like in the evening at the resort on other months.
เนื่องจากตอนที่บีพักอยู่ที่นี่เป็นช่วงมรสุม เลยมีเมฆครึ้มเกือบตลอดเวลา ไม่ได้เห็นพระอาทิตย์ตกดินแบบอลังการ แต่บีฝากรูปสวย ๆ จากแขกโรงแรมท่านอื่นที่เคยไปพักตอนทองฟ้าสวยสดใสมาให้ดูกันค่ะ
There are 2 main restaurants at Tongsai Bay resort. We had ALL our meals in the resort during our 3-day 2-night stay there. We were planning to go out and explore the island, but the resort was too nice to leave (seriously!).
ท้องทราย เบย์ รีสอร์ทมีร้านอาหารหลัก ๆ อยู่สองร้าน ตอนที่บีวางแผนมาเกาะสมุย คืออยากมา explore เกาะ แต่พอเช็คอินที่นี่แล้ว ตัดสินใจว่าจะไม่ออกไปไหนเลย เพราะรีสอร์ทสวยมาก มีอะไรให้ทำเยอะจริง ๆ สรุปเลยทานข้าวที่นีทุกมื้อค่ะ
The food from both Polad and Chef Chom restaurants were absolutely mouth-watering, and the service was impeccable. They have quite a large menu selection (Thai, International and fusion) and I’d really recommend everyone staying at Tongsai Bay to dine at both places. There is also another smaller, more cozy and intimate restaurant “The Butlers”. It’s a tapas and wine bar which fit only 26 people. Unfortunately it was closed during our stay, but we really hope to dine there on our next visit.
อาหารจากทั้งร้าน Polad และ Chef Chom อร่อยแบบไม่ธรรมดาเลยจริง ๆ ค่ะ เมนูก็มีให้เลือกเยอะมาก ทั้งอาหารไทย อินเตอร์และฟิวชั่น ถ้าใครมาพักที่นี่ บีแนะนำให้ลองทานทั้งสองร้านเลยนะคะ ไม่ผิดหวังแน่นอน จริง ๆ ทางรีสอร์ทจะมี Tapas & Wine Bar ด้วย ชื่อร้าน The Butlers ตอนบีไปพักร้านนี้ปิด แต่คราวหน้าจะไม่พลาดแน่นอนค่ะ

The resort’s largest “room” type with a vast terrace with a private pool overlooking both Choengmon Bay and Tongsai Bay. The total size of this villa is 244 sq.m. and can sleep up to 2 adults plus 2 children.

Tongsai Bay is a truly magical place to stay on Ko Samui. It is ideal for both couples getaway and quiet family trip. There are quite a few water sports and activities available for guests daily, otherwise it’s a perfect place to relax, unwind and do absolutely nothing!
สรุปแล้ว ท้องทราย เบย์ รีสอร์ท เป็นรีสอร์ทที่เหมาะมากสำหรับทั้ง romamtic getaway และทริปครอบครัวค่ะ มีกิจกรรมกีฬาให้เล่นมากมาย หรือถ้าอยากพักผ่อนไม่ทำอะไรเลยก็เพอร์เฟ็คเลยค่ะ 🙂
