For thousands of years, rice has been the wellspring of life in the Far East in many aspects other than dietary.  Long before soap was invented, the Japanese used cloths filled with rice bran to wash themselves and also soak themselves in rice bran-infused baths. The is a myth that says every single rice grain is home to seven gods and thus rice has been considered precious.
A few weeks ago I was introduced by a friend to a premium Japanese skincare brand called RICE FORCE which boasts its ânatureâs energyâ from rice.  As am all about organic and natural products and donât always stick to the usual mainstream brands, I was intrigued to find out more. Â
I had a chance to host private dinner at Dusit Thani Bangkokâs rooftop fine dining restaurant namely 22 Kitchen & Bar.  Our guest list that evening included VIPâs from the British Embassy, British Council and British Chamber of Commerce Thailand.  We needed to make sure the evening was impeccable and memorable and this was why we decided to pick this venue.
Guests started to arrive just as the sun was setting. Â
My last day in Iceland couldnât have been any better. Â If you are planning to visit Iceland, I strongly suggest you prioritise this over other excursions.
My good friend Cod Starusayang said to me me âDude, you HAVE to go diving in Silfra in Thingvellir National Park.  I did it and it was just out-of-this-worldânothing like I had experienced beforeâ.  To be honest, though knowing Cod is a very well-travelled individual, I still wasnât convinced when he told me so.  Not because I hadnât done scuba diving before and hence I would only be able to snorkel, but it was because I am from warm sunny Thailand and we have some of the Worldâs best diving spots visited by thousands and thousands of international travellers each year.  Why would I want to go diving or snorkelling in ICELAND in the winter?
