SENSIMAR SAMUI is located on Mae Nam beach, which is 10 km or 10 mins from the airport only. While this is one of the quieter and less built up areas of the islands, it only takes 15 mins to get to Chaweng beach area, where all restaurants, bars, cafes and shops are.

The easiest way to get to Koh Samui is by plane. There are only 2 airlines which fly to Koh Samui, and on this recent trip I went with Bangkok Airways. Not only they have frequent flights there daily, but I particularly love the fact that they provide lounges with plenty of food, snacks and beverages for all their passengers at both Suvarnabhumi and Koh Samui airports.

SENSIMAR SAMUI is an Adult-only resort for guests 16 years and above. It is perfect for guests looking for privacy and full relaxation, as well as for couples on a romantic getaway. Here is a quick walk-through of the resort’s pool area.
รีสอร์ทนี้เน้นการแต่งแบบ Minimalist ค่ะ ทุกบริเวณจะสวยแบบเรียบง่าย เน้นโทนสีขาวและไม้ธรรมชาติโทนสีน้ำตาลทองอ่อน เพดานสูง มองแล้วดูสะอาดตา กว้างขวาง เรียบหรู บวกกับความที่ที่นี่เป็น Adult-only resort ด้วย เลยเพิ่มความรู้สึก Hip Hip เข้าไปด้วย
Having the main colour tones of white and golden bamboo brown with a bit of intense red, it is hip, stylish and sexy, with minimalist architecture. The buildings and interiors are simple, bright and airy, giving a clean and refreshing atmosphere.
ที่เด่นและสะดุดตามาก ๆ คือสะว่ายน้ำ ซึ่งมีความยาวถึง 40 เมตรค่ะ และขนาบข้างไปกับสระคือ ที่นอน sunbed และร่มสีแดงสด ที่ตัดกับสีโทนขาว เท่าและน้ำตาลอ่อนอย่างปัง
The most eye-catching part of the resort is the pool area. The light-blue, narrow, 40 metre-long pool sits in between a tall grey, military-solid wall and a row of intense red sun beds and canopy umbrella. This is where sexiness begins.
และแน่นอน ที่นี่ก็มี Pool Bar ด้วย แขกที่อยู่ในสระสามารถสั่งอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม รับประทานและดื่มบน Sun Bed ก็ได้ หรือนั่งในสระตรงบริเวณบาร์ได้เลย บีขอบอกว่า Drink ที่นี่แก้วใหญ่มากค่ะ
And of course there is a pool bar. Guest can order their chips, burgers, beers and cocktails have have it on their sun bed as well as on the bar seats in the pool. This was also my happy place for happy hour drinks during my stay in this resort.
บีขอกล่าวถึงห้อง Beach Pool Villaนิดหน่อยนะคะ ถึงแม้รอบนี้จะไม่ได้อยู่ Pool Villa ก็ตาม คือตอนเดินที่หาดหน้าโรงแรมก็เดินผ่านอยู่หลายหลัง และก็แอบมองด้วยความชื่นชอบมาก ๆ เลยถ่ายรูปมาให้ดูกันค่ะ ชอบตรงความเรียบง่าย ดีไซน์ที่เบสิกมาก ๆ แต่เก๋ ฮิป และเจ๋งจริง ๆ คราวหน้าถ้ามาพักที่นี่อีกบีคงจะจอง Pool Villa นี่แหล่ะค่ะ
Let me mention a little bit about their Beach Pool Villa. Though I didn’t get to stay in one of these villas this time, I just loved the design–so simple, so plain yet so stylish and cool. These villas are a few steps away from the beach and are only a short walk to the main pool, bar and restaurant areas.

On this visit I booked a Deluxe Sea View Suit and I did not at all regret it. Let’s have a look at the suit.
เหตุผลนึงคือ สระของรีสอร์ทที่นี่มันเซ็กซี่มาก และบีคิดว่าไว้แล้วว่ายังงัยยังงัยก็คงลงสระใหญ่ของที่นี่ แต่อีกเหตุผลหนึ่งก็คือ วิวจากชั้นบน ๆ นี้สวยมากจริง ๆ ค่ะ
One reason is I find the resort’s main pool quite cool (and so I wanted to be in it!), but another reason is the view from higher floors.
ห้อง Deluxe Sea View Suit ทุกห้องจะอยู่บนชั้น 4 ซึ่งเป็นชั้นบนสุดของตึกค่ะ โดย Layout ห้องจะแยกห้องนอนออกจากบริเวณห้องนั่งเล่นและพื้นที่ทานอาหารทานกาแฟ ในห้องมี Facillities ทุกอย่างค่ะ Free WiFi, เครื่องทำกาแฟ, ตู้เซฟ, เตารีดและโต๊ะรีดผ้า, Adapter สำหรับปลั๊กไฟต่างชาติ ฯลฯ
All Deluxe Sea View Suit are on 4th floor which is the highest floor of the buildings. The spacious suite is 75 Sq.M. with a separate living room and kitchenette area. Great amenities and facilities were available, including free WiFi, coffee maker machine, iron and ironing board, international electricity plugs, wall-mounted USB chargers, etc.
ทั้งสองห้องมีหน้าต่าง Wall-to-ceiling บานใหญ่เต็มผนัง เรียกได้ว่ามองเห็นวิวทะเลเต็ม ๆ เสมือนกับว่าไม่มีผนังกั้นห้องด้านฝั่งทะเลเลยก็ว่าได้ อีกอย่างที่ชอบคือ มีทีวีจอใหญ่ทั้งสองห้อง ถ้าใครมาพักที่นี่กับแฟนแล้วอยากดูทีวีกันคนละช่องก็สามารถแยกห้องกันดูได้ไม่ต้องทะเลาะกันค่ะ (ฮ่า ๆ !)
Both the bedroom and living room have large wall-to-ceiling windows which allow guests to breathe in the stunning view and fresh sea breeze of the ocean. In addition, there are big flat-screen TV’s in both rooms, meaning you wouldn’t have to fight with your partner on dominating the remote control.
ห้องน้ำมี Walk-in Closet บริเวณแต่งตัว มีอ่างอาบน้ำและ Shower แยกกันด้วยค่ะ
The bathroom as a walk-in closet, a separate show and a bath tub (which also comes with a another shower!).
มาดูเรื่องอาหารเช้ากันนะคะ ห้องพักที่นี่รวมอาหารเช้าแบบ International Buffet โดยจะเน้นอาหารต่างชาติมากกว่าอาหารเอเชีย อาหารทุกอย่างอร่อยหมดค่ะ Staff ที่นี่ดีมาก คอยเดินวนดูแลบริการเช็คความเรียบร้อยของแขกอยู่ตลอดเวลา
Let’s have a look at the breakfast here. Their international buffet has everything you would expect from a 4* resort, and pretty much all their selections were absolutely delicious. The staff team was amazing and very attentive—they always came up to me and asked if I would like a refill or more of anything before whatever I was having in my glass or on my plate ran out.

Here is another reason to love SENSIMAR SAMUI: there is Champagne Breakfast every Sunday morning! Imagine having breakfast in a bright, airy beachfront venue with refreshing sea breeze and an amazing view of the ocean and sipping ice-old Prosecco at the same time. What else would you ask for on a Sunday morning?

สรุปแล้ว SENSIMAR SAMUI นับว่าเป็นรีสอร์ทสไตล์มอเดิร์นที่อยู่สบายมากค่ะ เหมาะมากสำหรับคนที่ต้องการพักผ่อนแบบสบาย ๆ ชิว ๆ ถ้าหากอยากทำ Activity หรือออกกำลังกายบ้าง ทางรีสอร์ทก็มีเรือคายัคให้พายออกไปได้โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย มีห้องยิมและสนามเทนนิส ที่ตั้งของรีสอร์ทถือว่าค่อนข้างสะดวก นั่งรถไม่นานก็ถึงแหล่งกิน ดื่ม ช๊อปปิ้ง บีไม่ได้มีโอกาสนั่งทานอาหารที่ร้านอาหารของที่นี่ แต่ Room Service อาหารดีมาก และจานใหญ่มากค่ะ เพราะฉะนั้นบีเชื่อว่าอาหารที่ร้านจะต้องยิ่งดีเข้าไปใหญ่แน่นอน
In summary, SENSIMAR SAMUI is a modern boutique resort, and I had a very comfortable stay here. It is ideal for travellers who are looking to really relax, chill by the beach and do absolutely nothing. Having said that, the resort does offer complimentary kayaks, roof-top yoga classes, a fully-equipped gym as well as a tennis court! The resort itself is not far from the well-known bars and restaurants of Koh Samui, but I trust the food in the resort is excellent. I did not get a chance to sit down and dine at their beach front restaurant or “The Lounge”, their fine dining restaurant & wine bar, but I ordered room service and the large portions of food were fantastic.

If you are planning on visiting Koh Samui, this resort is worth a visit. I stayed here after a few days of diving in Koh Phangan and hopping around the island, and SENSIMAR SAMUI was a perfect place to wind down, relax and recharge myself before getting back to work!
